"Creating a Crowd-Sourcing Marketplace within a Pharmaceutical Services Company"

Abstract: Developing drugs is one of the most complex and expensive processes in the world. Software plays a major role in both advancing the science and managing pharmaceutical development costs. Andrew will be presenting Shuffle - a mobile app used by PRA to crowd source clinical teams and optimize clinical site monitoring. He will give quick introduction to drug development, discuss the role of his software team, and present the technology behind Shuffle.
Short Bio: Andrew Wooster is a Sr. Principal IT Systems Architect at PRA Health Sciences. PRA Health Sciences is a pharmaceutical research organization based in Raleigh, with 17,000 employees globally. Andrew has 20 years of experience leading software development teams in the life sciences space and is currently responsible for delivering innovative systems at PRA.
