"Why Storytelling Matters: Strategies and Structure"

Abstract: Using storytelling strategies and structures, you can make your presentation more memorable and relevant to your audience. Sarah Egan Warren will discuss three strategies that incorporate storytelling techniques into presentations and lectures.
Short Bio: For over 20 years Sarah Egan Warren has been helping scientific and technical professionals, faculty, and students communicate. Currently, she is the head of technical communication at the Institute for Advanced Analytics at NC State University where she has created the communication curriculum to support the Master of Science in analytics program. In addition to her teaching experience with both undergraduate and graduate students, she has delivered talks at conferences and workshops across the U.S. that are focused on improving communication and teaching. She has a M.S. in Technical Communication and is pursuing a PhD in adult, workforce, and continuing professional education.
