Abstract: The talk begins with a brief look back at Red Hat Linux, and goes on to explain how the Fedora Project was created. It then looks at some of the challenges that the Fedora Project has dealt within creating a community of users and developers around free software, and how the Fedora Project also serves as a vital part of Red Hat's business plan.
Short Bio: Max Spevack has been working at Red Hat for 3 years. He is the Fedora Project Leader, which basically means that he is the general manager of all things related to the Fedora Project. Max is 27 years old, and has a BS in Computer Science.
