Helping Intelligent Tutors Improve Individualized STEM Instruction

Dr. Min Chi, associate professor, Dr. Tiffany Barnes, professor, and Dr. Thomas Price, assistant professor in the NC State Department of Computer Science, have been awarded $1,999,578 by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support their research proposal entitled “Generalizing Data-Driven Technologies to Improve Individualized STEM Instruction by Intelligent Tutors.”

 

The award will run from August 15, 2020 to July 31, 2025. 

 

Abstract – This project will develop generalizable data-driven tools that addresses the conceptually and practically complex activity of constructing adaptive support for individualized learning in STEM domains.
