Shen, Tuck Attend First ASPLOS Grand Challenges Workshop

Dr. Xipeng Shen, associate professor of computer science, and Dr. James Tuck, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, at NC State University, have received $44,954 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support their organization of the Workshop on Inter-Disciplinary Research Challenges in Computer Systems.  This workshop was co-located with the 23rd ACM International Conference on Architectural Supportfor Programming Languages and Operating Systems (ASPLOS) held in March in Williamsburg, VA.

 

The award runs from March 1, 2018 to February 28, 2019.

 

Abstract – This proposal requests travel support funds to enable invited participants to defray the costs of traveling to and attending the Workshop on Inter-Disciplinary Research Challenges in Computer Systems, a visioning workshop co-located with ASPLOS-23. The PIs will ensure the creation and release of a comprehensive report to capture the discussions at the workshop.
