Opportunity: Campus As A Classroom Internship Applications Open!

Description: The application for the next cohort of Campus As A Classroom (CAC) interns is now open!

CAC pairs undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of academic disciplines with paid, on-campus sustainability internships. This year's positions cover a wide range of topics that include but are not limited to water quality, pollinators, energy management, graphic design and communications, GIS, botany, landscape architecture, data analysis, and many more!

In addition to the work that students do through their internships, the selected interns will be part of a cohort that meets monthly to explore topics like sustainability principles, professional development, and project management. Applications will close on Thursday, July 17th at 11:59pm.

Opportunity: NC State Global Career Accelerator

Description: The Global Career Accelerator is an online, experiential learning program that offers students the chance to acquire leadership skills, global knowledge, intercultural competence, and career competencies in tandem with technical training in one of the following areas: digital marketing, data analytics, coding for data, or coding for the web.The program utilizes real-world projects with companies like Intel, L’Oreal, OpenAI, and the Grammys, collaborating with peers from top universities and 50+ countries from around the world.

Program participants will enroll in an NC State Interdisciplinary Studies Internship course (IDS 311). Program completion earns students credits, company-branded project certificates, and badges that students can leverage in the job search.

Opportunity: Fall 2025 DSA Courses

Description: The Data Science Academy has submitted their list of special topic DSA courses for Fall 2025.

  • DSA 295 (and all other 200-level DSA classes) can count for ORE Group A
  • DSA 4** and 5** can count as either ORE Group B, ORE Group A, or AI Restricted Electives
All DSA classes are offered for 1 hour.

Opportunity: USC 202: Career Exploration and Development

Description: This 2-credit course helps students identify their strengths, values, and skills—and how they connect to future career opportunities. Students will build a plan to navigate today’s job market, expand their professional network, and gain career-ready skills applicable to any field.

Opportunity: Applied AI in Fall 2025

Description: Interested in AI? Want to learn how to use AI to solve engineering problems? Enroll in a new special topics course: E 298-002/003 Applied AI for Engineering!

This course will count as an Other Restricted Elective (ORE) Group A in the CSC Degree Audit. If you're considering the AI Concentration, this course will count as an AI Restricted Elective. Students should not yet have taken CSC 411 or CSC 422.
