Biography

I am a Research Scholar under the Computer Science Department at North Carolina State University (NCSU). Before joining NCSU I was a Faculty at the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) and a Chief Executive Officer at Tanzania Education and Research Network (TERNET). I have conducted research and published in networks, network security and network management in both traditional and Software Defined Networks.?

Outside my formal duties, I couch other women and mentor girls. I am the founder of BigSiS in STEM group where I and other women conduct 1-1 mentoring for secondary school girls in Tanzania. I am also a board member and mentor at More Active Girls in Computing (GetMAGIC), an NGO based in California and dedicated to mentoring middle and high school girls. ?

I am a self-motivated leader with over 10 years of leadership and management experience, and over 15 years of computer science technical and research abilities. I am also a committed lifelong learner with strong interest in history and future of science, research, leadership, management, business, and psychology. I am a fast learner who can effectively work independently and as part of a team.
