Fidelity Investments "Leadership in Technology" Series Presents Dr. Diana Oblinger

Please join us on January 29th at 6 pm in Lecture Hall 1231 EB2 for the next talk in the Fidelity Investments “Leadership in Technology” Executive Speakers Series.

Our special guest speaker will be Dr. Diana Oblinger (bio), president and CEO of EDUCAUSE. Her talk topic will be “Uncommon Thinking for the Common Good”.

In her role at EDUCAUSE, Oblinger provides executive leadership and strategic vision for the nation's primary higher education technology association, encompassing nearly 2,300 colleges, universities, corporations, and associations.

Abstract: Information technology has a critical role to play in enabling “uncommon thinking for the common good.” IT and collaboration may be the keys to addressing a spectrum of challenges facing higher education and society. This session links fundamental values such as openness and sharing, with the socio-technical system enabled by the Internet and looks at some of society’s greatest challenges.

The event is free and open to the public.  Ample free parking is also available.
