Wyatt to Speak at Fall 2008 Diploma Ceremony on December 17th

The NC State Department of Computer Science will hold its fall diploma ceremony on Wednesday, December 17th at 1:30 pm in beautiful Meymandi Concert Hall at the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh (directions).

We are honored to have alumnus Mark Wyatt (B.S. ’80), serve as our keynote speaker.

Wyatt is the VP of Smart Energy Systems with Duke Energy in Charlotte, where he has worked for 25 years in the information management field.  He is very active as a leader in support of various professional interests, including serving as the Chair of the Charlotte Chamber's Information Technology Council, and as a member of the North Carolina Technology Association's Board of Directors.  Wyatt has also bee a strong supporter of NC State University, serving as a member of the Physical and Mathematical Sciences Foundation's Board of Directors, and also serving as the Vice Chair for the Department of Computer Science's Strategic Advisory Board. 

Over 170 graduates are expected to receive their degrees during the ceremony.
