CSC YE Pig Pickin' Planned for April 27 at Pullen Park

Computer Science students, faculty, staff, friends and families are invited to attend the 2007 ACM/AITP Computer Science Year-ending Pig Pickin’ on Friday, April 27th.

This year’s event is co-sponsored by Cisco Systems and the Vanguard Group.

The Pig Pickin’ is an annual tradition within the department, providing everyone a chance to unwind and celebrate the conclusion of another successful academic year.

When:  Friday, April 27, 2007 from 3:30-6:30pm
Where: Pullen Park Shelter #5 (Pullen Park adjoins the historic campus) map

Volleyball and Frisbees will be available, and there are lots of grassy areas for games and fun.  Pullen Park also has a nicely equipped playground and a variety of rides (train, boats, carousel, etc.) for the kids.

The festivities will include as much barbeque, fried chicken, and fixin’s as you can eat.  A complete vegetarian buffet will also be provided by our Women in Computer Science (WiCS) organization.

The day's activities will include the UPE Honorary Initiation at 4:00.

The food will be served around 4:30 pm, followed by an awards presentation and the ever-hilarious “Pie-a-Professor” event.

We hope you will join us for this annual tradition
