Patrick Wins UPE/ACM Scholarship Award

Congratulations to Talmage Patrick, a junior in computer science, who has been named a recipient of the UPE/ACM Scholarship Award valued at $1,000.
 
Patrick is one of just three recipients of the award nationwide.
 
These highly competitive awards are given annually by Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), the International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines, administered through the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). UPE initiated this award with ACM, to raise the importance of academic achievement and professional commitment in our future computer professionals.
 
In addition to the cash award, winners also receive a certificate of commendation.
 
To be considered, nominees must be full-time students, members of an ACM Student Chapter at an academic institution, and carry a 3.5 GPA or better in computer science or an information technology related major.
