Major Power & Utility Outage Scheduled March 31st

We will be experiencing a power and utility shutdown all day on Saturday, March 31st.  This will affect all of the NC State owned buildings, which include all of the Engineering Buildings and MRC. Venture II & III are NOT on the list of affected buildings. Please inform your students that this event is taking place, so they do not get caught off guard when the lights go off. We strongly suggest turning off office/lab machines that typically stay powered up, in the event of a power spike when electricity is restored. Below is a list of services that will not be available:
  • Lights Card
  • Access Internet Access
  • Heat/ A/C
  • Hot Water

If you have equipment in server rooms EB2 2291, EB2 3267, EB2 3293, and MRC 401 please power off your equipment by Friday March 30th at 4PM. CSC IT staff will be onsite to turn CSC IT managed server equipment back ON. If you like CSC IT staff to turn your server equipment back on, please submit a ticket to including location, server name, and any other instructions.
