Mueller Receives Support for PICASO Research
Dr. Frank Mueller, professor of computer science at NC State University, has been awarded $33,333 by Securboration, Inc. to support his research proposal titled “Operating System Mechanisms for Many-Core Systems (PICASO).”The award will run from April 30, 2012 to October 2, 2012.
Abstract – The objective of this work is to design and evaluate novel system and program abstractions for combined performance and scalability paving the path into a future of operating system supporting a massive number of cores on a single chip.
