CSC Year End Pig Pickin’ Planned for April 30 at EB2

Computer science students, faculty, staff, friends and families are invited to attend the 2010 ACM/AITP Computer Science Year-end Pig Pickin’ on Friday, April 30th from 4–6 p.m. in the EB2 Breezeway (NOTE:  new location – not the regular Pullen Park location).

The Pig Pickin’ is an annual tradition within the department, providing everyone a chance to unwind and celebrate the conclusion of another successful academic year.

All food, drinks, and fun are FREE and open to all computer science students, faculty, staff, family and friends!  There will be pork barbecue, fried chicken, and all the fixin’s provided by Cooper’s BBQ.  A vegetarian spread will also be provided by Neomonde.  Save room for dessert -- plenty of NC State’s premium Howling Cow ice cream!

Wonderful PRIZES will be raffled off including a brand new HDTV(s), iPad, iPod Touch, Kindle, Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera, Wii, Nintendo DSi XL, HD Flip, $50 Gas Card, and more!  Raffle tickets will cost $5 per ticket with proceeds going to support future ACM/AITP activities.

And if that weren’t enough…

Pie-A-Prof! This traditional entertaining event will give a few lucky students the chance to pie some of the CSC department’s most respected professors!

Awards! The departmental awards YOU voted for will be presented to their deserving recipients!

Footballs and lots of other sports equipment will be available to help work off a full belly!

Introductions of our new ACM/AITP leaders will also take place during the event!

Many thanks to this year’s event sponsors: Cisco Systems, Vanguard, rPath, the ePartners Program and the NC State Engineering Foundation.

We would also like to thank the many corporate and alumni donors of prizes including I-Cubed, Spark Plug Games, First Citizens Bank, Kangaroo Express, Saffron Technology, Tony Brown, Wayne Harvey, Gerhard Pilcher, and many more!

We hope you will join us for this annual tradition.
