Robert is a creative and agile leader who partners with stakeholders to manage operational risk. Having been with Truist since 2015, Robert has more than 20 years of technology and cybersecurity experience and is passionate about mentoring and employee development.

In his current role at Truist, Robert leads the Cyber Defense Service Management team overseeing governance risk and controls, budgets, staffing, metrics, and reporting. In Robert’s previous role at Truist he led the design and implementation of Truist’s Cyber Resilience Testing program. Prior to Truist, Robert was a Senior Risk Management Consultant at Knowledge Consulting Group where he supervised teams running security audits for Cloud Service Providers (CSP) seeking compliance with Federal Risk and Authorization Program (FedRAMP) requirements. Robert began his career as an Information Architect and was responsible for the original definition and documentation of the Information Architecture Process and Techniques used throughout the Euro RSCG Circle network of companies.

Robert is an advocate for a healthy lifestyle and is involved in the F3 network of free, peer-led workouts focused on developing community leadership. In addition, he is very civic-minded and is active with the Wake County Board of Elections where he serves as a Precinct Official.
