Why I Love Computer Science: It's a very diverse field, way more than I realized before I came here - you can study the theory of computation, applied topics like networking and security, or even social topics like human computer interaction, and it all fits under computer science. At NC State, you get a taste of all these different flavors of the subject, which not only broadens your knowledge and gives you perspective, but it helps you narrow your interests and decide for yourself why you love it! Computer science can be as abstract or as concrete as you want - at the end of the day, you're always solving a problem and contributing to technological progress, and it's an amazing feeling.
