Five to Present at Graduate Student Research Symposium

Five Ph.D. students in the department of computer science at NC State University have been selected to present their research at The 5th Annual NC State University Graduate Student Research Symposium to be held on March 10, from 1–5 p.m. in the McKimmon Center.

Bushra Anjum, Ping-Lin Hsiao, Qian Lv, Parth Pathak, and Attila Altay Yavuz will participate in the poster session from 1:30–4 p.m.  This year there will be 191 poster presentations featuring research being conducted in 60 graduate programs from all colleges.

The primary goal of the symposium is to showcase the outstanding quality and diversity of graduate-level research at NC State, in addition to providing students with the opportunity to practice their communication skills with those outside of their discipline.  Undergraduates who are interested in applying to graduate school will certainly benefit from talking to graduate students about their research, and will learn how to present their research at conferences at which they may participate in the future.

The event is sponsored by the University Graduate School Association, and the Graduate School.  For additional information on the symposium, click here.
