Mueller Receives Gifts to Support Efforts in Multi-core Environments

ARM, Inc., has donated multi-core boards valued at $16,500 to support Dr. Frank Mueller’s research and teaching efforts in multi-core environments.  In addition, they have provided software for use in the classrooms and labs valued at $10,750.

The ARM donation will be used for two of Dr. Mueller’s projects:  (1) to develop advanced power-aware scheduling techniques in multi-core environments, and (2) to develop techniques to make complex multi-cores more predictable in their execution behavior.  Both projects are based on prior project results, namely PowerT, VISA, SPARTA and Checker.
