Antón Named to ISAT Study Group

Dr. Annie Antón, professor of computer science at NC State University, has been named to the Information Science and Technology (ISAT) study group. 

Established by the Institute for Defense Analysis (IDA), the ISAT is made up of distinguished scientists and engineers with primary interests in advanced problems of information processing that are important to national defense.

The charter objective of the ISAT study group is to provide the Information Science and Technology Office (ISTO) of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) with a continuing and independent assessment of the state of advanced information science and technology as it relates to Department of Defense issues.  The group provides continuing strategic appraisal of the field of information science and technology and identifies opportunities for developing new or improved computer/communication technologies and related application, thus leading to recommended new research directions for DARPA.

Members of the ISAT study group are drawn from the university research community, industry and independent centers.  They serve a three-year term.
