Hatch to Speak at Spring 2008 Diploma Ceremony
Our spring diploma ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 1:30 pm in the main sanctuary at Providence Baptist Church, located at 6339 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh (driving directions).
Joyce Hatch, alumna and former Director of Undergraduate Advising for the NC State University Department of Computer Science, will provide the keynote address. The beloved computer science undergraduate advisor retired in June 2006, after more than 30 years of devoted service to our department. In the ultimate display of respect for her self-less service and the impact she had on so many lives, a grassroots alumni effort led to the establishment of the Joyce Hatch Scholarship Endowment in her honor. She is sure to have a strong message for our graduates.Approximately 130 graduates are expected to receive their degrees during the ceremony.
