Graduate Program - Costs/Financial Aid Opportunities
Computer Science Graduate Programs awards a limited number of teaching assistantships to incoming students on a competitive basis. These are almost exclusively PhD applicants of exceptional merit. There is no special form required to be considered for an assistantship. Research assistantships are generally awarded to a limited number of continuing students by individual professors. These are offered primarily to PhD students.
Notification of departmental award Teaching Assistantship offers occurs separately from and after admission recommendations. Award candidates are notified personally by the graduate program director via e-mail and a subsequent letter.
An assistantship places the student on the Graduate Student Support Plan. It provides full tuition coverage, health insurance, and a stipend. The value of the full assistantship package exceeds the university's estimate of student living expenses. For more information please check the following Web pages:
