2006 Engineering Senior Awards - CSC Nominees & Winners

Each year, the NCSU College of Engineering Senior Awards recognize students for their outstanding performance beyond academic achievement.

Each department within the College of Engineering nominates four seniors; one each for Scholarly Achievement, Citizenship and Service, Humanities, and Leadership. From all the seniors nominated within Engineering, four will be chosen as recipients by the college.

Nominees from the Computer Science department for the 2006 Engineering Senior Awards include:

Alexander J. Balik - Scholarly Achievement Award

Nathaniel L. Derbinsky - Leadership Award

Benjamin M. Huckaby - Humanities Award

Thomas J. Ramsey - Citizenship & Service Award

Blake C. Lucas (majoring in EE, CSC, CPE) is Computer Engineering's nominee for the Scholarly Acheivement award.

We are very proud to announce that two of our nominees were selected by the college as winners of 2006 Engineering Senior Awards; Nathaniel L. Derbinsky received the Leadership Award and Blake C. Lucas received the Scholarly Acheivement award. All nominees and final award reciepients were recognized during an awards ceremony held on April 20th.

Congratulations to these outstanding student leaders! We take great pride in them as they serve as tremendous representatives of the department and great role models for our student body.
