NC State Computer Science Design Team named finalist in the Fourth Annual IEEE Computer Society International Design Competition (CSIDC)
Congratulations to the NC State Computer Science Design Team for being named a finalist in the Fourth Annual IEEE Computer Society International Design Competition (CSIDC) and the only finalist from the US.The competition is intended to advance excellence in education by having student teams design and implement computer-based solutions to real-world problems. The theme of this year's CSIDC is "Added Value: Turning Computers Into Systems". More than 300 schools began the competition; 80 teams were named semi-finalists.
The team members are

- Jeremy Maness,
- Buck Webb, and
- JR Wilson.
The teams sponsors are Dr. Robert Fornaro and Ms. Margaret Heil.
The ten finalists are:

- Instituto Militar de Engenharia (Military Engineering Institute) - IME, Brazil
