Teams Compete in ACM Regional Programming Contest

NC State sent two teams to the ACM Mid Atlantic Regional Programming Contest, held on October 28th at Duke University.

The first team consisted of Justin Mosiman, Justin Smith, and Mike Whitley.  The second team consisted of Casey Dahlin, Michael Kolbas, and Patrick Wong.  Both teams were coached by Dr. Thomas Honeycutt.

In all, 31 teams from the state of North Carolina participated in the regional event. The top teams in the region advanced to the ACM World Finals, which will be held in Tokyo Bay, in March 2007

The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest sponsored by IBM, fosters creativity, teamwork, and innovation in building new software programs, and enables students to test their ability to perform under pressure. It is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.

Special thanks to Super ePartner, SAS Institute, for sponsoring our student teams competing in this regional event this year.
