Partnership with AfterCollege.com Provides New Career Services Options

Students and companies who use the virtual Computer Science Career Services page as a place to find and post career opportunities, now have another powerful tool to use.

The department is partnering with AfterCollege.com, the largest career network specializing in recruitment at the college level, to provide our students access to a customized Job Resource Center featuring targeted career opportunities for our CSC undergraduate and graduate students from employers across the nation.

“This AfterCollege supplied Job Resource Center is intended to complement, not replace the department’s online job board which is used by many local companies seeking to hire our students”, says Ken Tate, director of development and external relations for the department. “It is simply a way of providing our students visibility and access to an expanded array of career opportunities, targeted specifically at CSC students.”

ePartners and Super ePartner with the department will also benefit from the partnership according to Tate. “AfterCollege typically charges a company $35 to post a position, but they have agreed to waive the fee for our most valued corporate partners,” Tate says. ePartners and Super ePartners wishing to take advantage of this new benefit, simply need to contact Tate via email or call at 919-513-4292 and request that an AfterCollege account be created.

The AfterCollege Job Resource Center provides many other benefits to students including a Career Tools section that includes resume help, interview tips, a salary wizard, relocation help and student loan help.

The site also provides services targeted at alumni and faculty.
