Brglez Receives Award to Support Triangle Computer Science Distinguished Lecturer Series

Dr. Franc Brglez, research professor of computer science at NC State, has been awarded $55,300 by the Army Research Office (ARO) for sponsorship of the Triangle Computer Science Distinguished Lecturer Series.

The award will support the series from January 3, 2011 through January 2, 2013.

Abstract - Since 1995, the Triangle Computer Science Distinguished Lecturer Series (TCSDLS) has been hosting influential university researchers and industry leaders from computer-related fields as speakers at the three universities within the Research Triangle Area. The lecturer series, sponsored by the Army Research Office (ARO), is organized and administered by the Computer Science departments at Duke University, NC State University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This proposal argues for continuation, for an additional three years, of this highly successful lecturer series.

During the last three-years with this project, Dr. Brglez moved videos of each seminar under the YouTube channel.  All videos, including the ones from the current year, are now accessible under the same home page.  For more information on the Triangle Computer Science Distinguished Lecturer Series, click here.
