IEEE BROADNETS 2007
I served as General co-Chair of the IEEE Broadnets 2007 conference, which was held in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, September 10-13, 2007.
The keynote speaker was Prof. Arun Somani, Iowa State University, and plenary presentations were delivered by Prof. Kishor Trivedi, Duke University, and Mr. Wayne Clark, Cisco Systems. Two lively panel sessions examined the role of dynamic layer 1/2 lightpaths and Ethernet in metro and wde area networks, respectively.

IEEE LANMAN 2005
I served as General co-Chair of the 14th IEEE Workshop on Local and Metropolitan Area Networks (IEEE LANMAN 2005), which took place in Chania, Island of Crete, Greece, September 18-21, 2005. This event set another record by receiving 112 submissions. The committee selected 36 papers for presentation. The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Jim Roberts, France Telecom. A panel on "Ethernet Everywhere" included experts from Cisco, Intel, Accton, McData, Tacit Networks, and Copan Systems.

IEEE LANMAN 2004
I served as Technical Program Chair of the 13th IEEE Workshop on Local and Metropolitan Area Networks (IEEE LANMAN 2004), which took place in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, April 25-28, 2004. The workshop received a record 109 submissions, an increase of 73% over the submissions received for the previous event. The committee selected 48 papers for presentation, and laso selected two papers to share the best paper award. Dr. Larry Roberts, Chairman and CTO of Caspian Networks and an Internet pioneer widely considered as one of the four "fathers of the Internet" was the keynote speaker.

FIRST Workshop ON TRAFFIC GROOMING 2004
I served as Technical Program co-Chair of the First Workshop on Traffic Grooming (WTG 2004), which took place in San Jose, California, October 29, 2004 (co-located with Broadnets 2004).
NETWORKING 2004
I served as Technical Program co-Chair for the IFIP Networking 2004 conference, which took place in Athens, Greece, May 9-14, 2004. The conference received a record 539 submissions, an increase of 71% over the submissions received by the previous organization, and 30% more than the submissions received by the following event; as of 2007, this record has not been surpassed by following Networking conferences. I chaired the track "Networking Technologies, Services, and Protocols" that received the most submissions (224). The committee selected 104 full papers and 40 papers for poster presentation. One paper was selected for the best paper award. Three keynote speeches were delivered by Prof. Ian Akyildiz, Dr. Jim Roberts, and Prof. Leandros Tassiulas. The program also included 8 tutorials and 4 workshops.
