Driving Directions

Raleigh Map

Below are some simple driving directions from the RDU airport/RTP area (or Durham/Chapel Hill) to Centennial Campus and Engineering Building II (EB-II) where my office is located. I'm in 2266 EB-II, 919-513-8112.

People driving west towards Raleigh should proceed along the I–40/440 Inner Beltline, then take exit 295, Gorman Street, turn right at the bottom of the ramp, and pick up the directions from #5 below.

1. Head east on I-40 towards Raleigh.
2. At the I-40/440 split, stay in the left two lanes to stay on I-40.
3. Continue on I-40 to exit 295, Gorman Street.
4. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Gorman Street.
Gorman & Avent Ferry
5. Turn right at the third light onto Avent Ferry Road.
900 Main Campus Drive
6. Turn right at the second light into Centennial Campus.
7. Continue to the second stop sign, where you will be facing the EB-II building.
8. Turn left and continue to the last parking deck on your left, which has space on the street-level floor for visitor parking.
9. Exit the parking deck the way you came in, cross the street, and turn right, walking towards the EB-II building.

To navigate EB-II and find my office:

  1. After exiting the parking deck and turning right on Partners Way, walk towards EB-II, then turn left right before the stairs and walk along the path between the two buildings.
  2. Follow the path to the bus oval, and continue forward through to the entry doors directly ahead of you. This is the Computer Science side of EB-II.
  3. Walk through the atrium and continue forward until you get to the elevator on your left. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor.
  4. Exit the elevator, turn right and walk back towards the atrium, then take a left through a door immediately past the washrooms but before you re-enter the atrium.
  5. Walk into the lobby area and take your first left down a long hallway, my office is near the end of the first leg of this hallway, 2266 EB-II.
