Tsege is currently the Advance Service Technical Leader in the Customer Advance Engineering group where she drives architecture, solution, product and process improvements by leveraging her specialized engineering expertise on key emerging and advanced technologies. Tsege’s focus area is building reference model and architecture that is scalable and re-usable in a multi-verticals environment, and on increasing the velocity of customer adoption of new technologies & solutions.
Before joining Cisco, Tsege worked at IBM as a Network Advisor, and Senior Advisor at various organizations within IBM; Internal Network Design group, Federal Systems, Technical Support, and Systems Consultant. Tsege spent the majority of her time at IBM Washington System Center Customer Solutions, testing and the Platform Engineering Group supporting large accounts.
Tsege collaborates proactively with other NCE’s and Business Units to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs. She has published multiple IEEE papers, and works very closely with National Research and Education networks and communities. She tests, verifies and assesses new technologies for NREN deployments, and works with technologies incubators and early adaptors. Tsege has more than 20 years industry experience in pre/post sales support, technical market engineering, end-to-end solution engineering, serviceability design, and consulting.
She received an ME in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, an MS in Operations Research from The American University and a BA in Biology from The University of Pa. - Cheyney.
