Experience: With 25 years of experience in information technology, Ms. Ramoneda has overall responsibility for Progress Energy's information technology and telecommunications services. Prior to being named CIO, Dede was vice president - IT Systems Delivery and was responsible for leading the technology integration that successfully combined CP&L Energy and Florida Progress Corporation into Progress Energy. Before joining Progress Energy, Dede was CIO and director of Information Technology for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to that, she spent more than ten years doing systems integration consulting and practice management with one of the five largest consulting firms in the United States.
Education: Louisiana State University (Bachelor of Science - Industrial Management) Rollins College (Master of Business Administration). Alumnus of Leadership North Carolina (an executive educational leadership training program) Completed financial management training at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania
