Ken Hibbard

Ken Hibbard is the VP, Product Development & East Coast Operations for Data Domain, the leading provider of deduplication storage systems for disk backup and network-based disaster recovery. In this role, he is the lead executive over Data Domain's RTP-based East Coast Operations.
Prior to joining Data Domain, Hibbard held a similar role with Network Appliance, where he was responsible for product development at NetApp's North Carolina RTP and Massachusetts facilities. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Software Engineering at NetApp's corporate headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
Before joining NetApp, Hibbard was director of storage technologies and system software at Silicon Graphics in California. Over the past 20 years he has also held a variety of engineering and engineering management positions at companies that include the Open Software Foundation's Research Institute, Xylogics and Apollo Computer. His background is in operating systems, i/o subsystems, networking and distributed systems.
Hibbard is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He did his graduate work in computer science and systems engineering at Boston University. He is a member of the IEEE.
