CSC295M - Competitive Programming - Dr. Honeycutt

CSC295M is designed to train and coordinate the programming competition teams that NCSU's Computer Science dept. will field in future ACM Intercollegiate Programming Competitions

We invite all students who are interested in competing on behalf of NCSU in friendly competition with other schools. The Mid-Atlantic regional competition will be in early-to-mid November and it is typically hosted at Duke University for Triangle-area universities and colleges.

CSC295N - Leadership in Technology - K. Tate

This "executive seminar" course provides CSC students exposure to leadership skills required to be successful in their careers in technology. Successful CSC alumni and other local technology leaders will serve as guest speakers each week, presenting various leadership topics from a personal perspective. These business leaders will provide real-world examples of the challenges they have faced in their careers and the leadership skills required to survive in today's business environment. Grades will be derived from papers students will be required to write following each presentation.

CSC295T - Software Testing - Lindeman

This course will provide you with an understanding of what software testing is and its key role in determining the quality of a software application for the customer. It covers the Software Test Life Cycle and it's different phases: Test Planning, Acquisition and Measurement Execution), how the Software Test Life Cycle aligns with the Software Development Life Cycle, and the different levels of Software Testing (Unit, Integration, System and Acceptance). Within each phase of the Software Test Life Cycle, you will become familiar with testware deliverables, their purpose and methods used to create them. Within each level of software testing, you will become familiar with who performs the testing, where the testing is performed and specific level testing techniques.
