Undergraduate Program

The NC State Computer Science Undergraduate Program provides first-rate preparation for employment or graduate research, engages students in research, and enjoys national recognition as a top tier program. The department offers a modern curriculum focusing on fundamental scientific and engineering principles and methods, exposure to cutting-edge technology, and the opportunity to work on exciting problems with real-world impact. Students can pursue a general Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or choose a concentration in Cybersecurity (effective Spring 2021) or Game Development. We also offer Undergraduate Tracks in Entrepreneurship and Security.

Program Educational Objectives and learning outcomes of this program were developed in keeping with the mission of the university, the college, and the department. Our Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.

In addition, the department also has been named a Center for Academic Excellence in Information Assurance by the National Security Agency (NSA) for the academic years 2008-2019. NSA Centers promote higher education and research in information security within various disciplines.
